How To Add Content To A WordPress Post/Page: Video Tutorial Summary

Originally, this video tutorial was going to be called “How To Write A WordPress Post in 4 Simple Steps!“. Why? Because adding content to WordPress actually *is* very simple to do.

In fact, from the WordPress dashboard, it’s possible to add content to WordPress in ony 4 simple steps.

Here’s a quick summary of our video on how to write a WordPress Post:

  1. From the WordPress dashboard, click on the “Write a New Post” link on the top right hand side, OR alternatively, you can also use the “Write” link on the main top navigation of your admin area.
Note: to add content to a WordPress Page, then simply click on “Write” and then “Page” in the sub-menu that appears.
  2. Add a Title for your blog Post.
  3. Add some content in the main area of the WordPress WYSIWYG editor.
  4. Click on the Publish button on the right hand side.

And that’s really all there is to adding content to WordPress. It’s quick, simple and very easy to do!

Why do you think at Knowledge Constructs we use WordPress to build professional looking websites for people? With WordPress, we’ve found our clients appreciate being able to manage and maintain their own content without being charged a small fortune for making changes as and when *they* want to.

You see, we use WordPress as a “Content Management System” and not a “blog”. We understand that all you want to do is really “type and publish”.

Let’s face it – it’s 2008, not 1998… the rules of Web Development have changed, which means that you can now take control of your content and make huge savings. Are you still being charged to make changes on your website?
