I was just looking for a way to change the page slug for a wordpress page. Totally forgot I already had headspace and what it all does. Is it taking care of the redirect too or is that something we'd need to get a redirection plugin for?

Hi Zain,
my problem is kinda similar, I'm using wp 2.5.1 I've created a several category/subcategory. One sub-category I created called sacred-heart-tattoo but the slug has been automatically named sacred-heart-tattoo-tattoo-design.

no matter what I do I canot get rid of the extra text i.e. "-tattoo-design". I tried removing and recreting the the sub-category several times but each time I saved the changes the sub-category vname reverts back to "sacred-heart-tattoo-tattoo-design".

All the other sub-categories were created with the correct slug

I'm using custom permalinks, any ideas how I get rid of this
annoyance?

many thanks

Yes, I did find your posts in a state of panic :P. And I agree that Headspace rocks. However, after finding your great suggestion for using Headspace to change slugs, I then looked at my site.. and realized I hadn't changed the permalinks to custom. Once I changed the permalinks, the option to change slug showed on both the Pages and posts that had been saved.

It makes sense, really. You don't need to change slug if you are not using permalinks so the link doesn't show until you do.

Thanks anyway ;)
