I’ve just installed WordPress 2.2 aka Getz (after Stan Getz). Basically as a test to see if there’d be any issues with the various WordPress plugins that I’m currently using or looking to use.

And Getz is Good. So far.

Am I running it on this site. Don’t be silly - personally, I like to try things out and make sure they’re okay instead of doing something crazy. The last time I did that, I lost my WordPress Theme. Won’t be making that mistake again!

I spent 15 minutes this morning clearing my drain. Not good. Especially when the little yellow rubber gloves are too short and you have to reach down past your elbow to clear out the blockage. I mean, we’ve all been there haven’t we… er… oh, just me then?

Fat, grease, hair, tuna pieces and Lord knows what else. With my face down two inches from the floor, arm covered in sludge, trying not to breathe in the stench coming from below… I’d love to tell you I had an epiphany of some sort. No such luck.

I spent another 15 minutes showering. Just my arm. Isn’t it weird how, no matter how much hot water or disinfectant you use, your brain can defy logic and just scream “UNCLEAN, UNCLEAN!!!”.

So. What’s this got to do with the release of the new WordPress “Getz” (version 2.2)? Let’s see how I get out of this one… Thankfully I know about “reframing” things - something you learn when go for NLP training .
