I just added your FAQ-Tastic plugin to my site (http://itsvista.com/FAQ/) and wanted to say thanks for releasing such a great plugin! I’d like to put a link back to your site, but the link information isn’t showing up on the plugin page (a code issue I suspect).

  2. Zain says:

    Hi Joe,

Apologies – and you were right about the code issue! I’ve now updated the page so that the link information (including the actual HTML tags) have been added.

Thanks for pointing that out. It’s very much appreciated.

Hi, installed your plugin and got this error message when i tried to activate it in the WP admin panel:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_enqueue_script() in /..mypath…/wp-content/plugins/faq-tastic/faq-tastic.php on line 26

    what to do?

    hi Zain – great plugin!
    couple of questions..

    - getting this error when rating an answer: “something went wrong while registering your vote”. What could be the cause?

    - how about an option to turn rating on/off?

    - any chance to have a double-click on the questions hide/display the answers (instead of the summary index)?

    - how about an option to show “back to index” nav button/link on the questions to jump straight back up to top of page for those ultra long pages with lots of questions?

Hi there! I just installed your plugin and I think it’s absolutely amazing. You guys thought of EVERYTHING! I just have a question, however, because I am having some issues with questions after they’ve been asked. Who do we contact for Troubleshooting?

I’m by no means a web designer but I know a great team of guys you should definitely speak with, they are great designers! I can pass your phone number, I know they do free consulations and quotes on the phone. Whats the best time and number to have someone reach you?

Hi there, can’t find the right place to put bug reports.. In your FAQ-Tastic when I go to edit a question I get “Fatal Error: cannot redeclare write_post()” and deleting a question doesn’t work. I’m using WordPress version 2.2. Otherwise it’s a great plugin, was exactly what I was looking for thanks :)

  9. Jem says:

Just a thought – you might want to rename FAQ-tastic to something else. There’s another script available with an identical name that I outed as being insecure and I wouldn’t want people looking you up, seeing my entry and thinking I meant your script… :)

    He Zain,

Remember Andy from Stomper June, How is Going down in Suny Brighton, Did you go to the last stomper, I did’nt get there myself.
Have you heard from Radar Roy and his pal.

    regards

I am in the process of making a web marketing site, and have been torn (because I hear both) between going with a blog as my homepage and static sales pages, or a static page as my homepage with a blog as an extension.

My main concern is SEO… which would be better?

Also, I am VERY impressed with your “semi-static” blog/website. I have searched for DAYS looking for a blog that looks like a website.

I don’t know anything more than the most basic HTML, but do pretty well having people make graphics for me, and using a WYSIWYG editor. What are the pro-cons of the two options I state above?

So I guess I have 3 questions, the pros-cons, which is best for SEO, and finally, the medical site you worked on, with the exception of the “semi-static” home page, is the rest a blog or a website?

I would love to get these answers, and maybe have you help me get this off the ground… please contact me, if you don’t mind!

Was hoping to find a demo of FAQ-tastic but I must have missed it! Where is it, please?

Also, identical anchor text in back links as a thankyou is not a good idea anymore. Let people put what they want – if it’s all identical the thinking is that it’s a very obvious footprint. Try searching SEOMoz for top 100 SEO factors, might be there.

Zain, I am a computer simpleton, so I understand nothing discussed here. However, I can do e-mail, and I am a huge Ron Paul for President supporter. I understand you were very helpful to my good friend Carol Jones in helping her build her http://www.ronpaulfreedomtrain.com web site, so I just wanted to say a big Texas size THANK YOU! Thank you for helping Carol and thank you for ultimately helping Ron Paul! Margie
