Yeah, yeah, yeah… I know. My new theme isn’t quite working.

I’ve just had Andy Beard email me about it this evening (and Jane over at Cyres Cafe mentioned it as well) to say that the HTML Purified plugin isn’t working as expected on the comments (Thanks to both of you, btw!). PHP Warnings – ouch! The plugin is pretty new and will probably need a bit more testing – this is one of John’s plugins but he’s probably battling some other WordPress plugin issues at the moment… WordPress Theme and Plugin issues continued

Now I know that all you WordPress SEO and Internet Marketing freaks just *love* Ultimate Tag Warrior. And the NetConcepts SEO Title Tags and All-In-One-SEO-Pack etc. As well as those other UTW related plugins, just to get your search engine optimisation just right…

Well, I’m going to have to break up the party and let you in on some big news: Ultimate Tag Warrior is about to become Ultimate Tag Worrier; SEO Title Tags is set to become SEO Title Bagged & Tagged and All-In-One-SEO-Pack will soon be known as All-In-One-SEO-Packed-Up-And-Shipped-Out!

Why? The HeadSpace 2 plugin from Urban Giraffe is about to take on Ultimate Tag Warrior in the battle for the WordPress Meta Plugin championship position (oh… and some of the other WordPress Meta plugins used for SEO too!).

My good friend John Godley’s HeadSpace2 plugin is about to get into the WordPress Meta Plugin arena as a serious heavyweight contender in the world of Search Engine Optimization for WordPress. After 3 years in training, HeadSpace 2 is finally ready to make a challenge to Ultimate Tag Warrior for it’s current title as the holder of the Meta Plugin #1 spot in the world of WordPress Internet Marketers and Search Engine specialists.

You’re about to witness the first battle between HeadSpace2 and several WordPress Meta Plugins. And personally folks, I know who my money’s on seeing as I had a hand in some of the coaching sessions… ;)

We’re all aware of what UTW and SEO Title Tags can do for your WordPress site so, without further ado, let’s see what the challenger brings to the ring!

Let’s get ready to RUUUUUMMMMMMBBBBBBBLLLLLLLE!

Starving Children & Internet Marketing »

Yesterday, Stephen Pierce launched an appeal – For A Greater Cause – to help feed 1,000,000 starving children. His aim is to raise enough money within 72 hours to provide a meal for each starving child. Simply visit the website and add your name to download a free report and for each name that is collected, a plate of food will be donated to feed a starving child.

I applaud his efforts and also his intentions. If you are reading this, I would urge you all to add your name NOW. I already have done. It only takes a minute to sign up and help.

For a greater cause image

While I am very much impressed with the goal that has been set and Stephen’s desire to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves, I have concerns about the methods employed. Thinking about what it takes to get people to help each other, I am left with the bitter taste of cynicism as I consider – do we really need to be bribed to make a donation?

stangetz.jpgI’ve just installed WordPress 2.2 aka Getz (after Stan Getz). Basically as a test to see if there’d be any issues with the various WordPress plugins that I’m currently using or looking to use.

And Getz is Good. So far.

Am I running it on this site. Don’t be silly – personally, I like to try things out and make sure they’re okay instead of doing something crazy. The last time I did that, I lost my WordPress Theme. Won’t be making that mistake again!

John Godley is probably the best Developer I’ve never met.

Bound by the same invisible threads and united by our passions to create only the best that we can, as foreigners in foreign lands, all I know is John’s a Caucasian in an Asian land and I’m an Asian in a Caucasian land.

Yet here we are, sharing ideas and communicating through space and time… (well, we are in different continents and there is a time difference :P ).
