Internet Marketers – Kill Yourself »
Written by Zain on September 5th, 2007{ 5 comments }
As some of my regular readers may know, I’ve recently changed the style of this site to be congruent with the way that I really am and want to be.
Since coming back from the Rich Schefren (aff) Accelerate seminar, I’ve been doing a lot of contemplation and thinking about things that I used to enjoy doing. Things that made me laugh out loud. Things I forgot about but am now revisiting and resurrecting to spice up what could end up a horribly miserable existence unless I pull my finger out…
So anyway, it’s time for a bit of humour from Bill Hicks, I think. And I think it very apt for the direction that I’m now going in.
Some of you guys across the pond might or might not have heard of him. In comedy circles in the early 90s, Bill was *huge* over here in the UK and achieved cult status for his raw style of humour that was often irreverent and extremely political. The reason for this may have been because Bill actually understood “irony” – I know you guys are still getting to grips with understanding this bizarre, quaint and typically English concept!
As always, there is a point to this post. Enjoy the following clip from a show Bill did here in the UK – Internet Marketer’s especially…

What’s a four letter word, ending in K, meaning “intercourse”?
I’m sure I can guess pretty much what most of you are thinking…
Four letter word, ending in K meaning "intercourse"... It's obvious, isn't it?

Now I know that all you WordPress SEO and Internet Marketing freaks just *love* Ultimate Tag Warrior. And the NetConcepts SEO Title Tags and All-In-One-SEO-Pack etc. As well as those other UTW related plugins, just to get your search engine optimisation just right…
Well, I’m going to have to break up the party and let you in on some big news: Ultimate Tag Warrior is about to become Ultimate Tag Worrier; SEO Title Tags is set to become SEO Title Bagged & Tagged and All-In-One-SEO-Pack will soon be known as All-In-One-SEO-Packed-Up-And-Shipped-Out!
Why? The HeadSpace 2 plugin from Urban Giraffe is about to take on Ultimate Tag Warrior in the battle for the WordPress Meta Plugin championship position (oh… and some of the other WordPress Meta plugins used for SEO too!).

After 3 years in training, HeadSpace 2 is finally ready to make a challenge to Ultimate Tag Warrior for it’s current title as the holder of the Meta Plugin #1 spot in the world of WordPress Internet Marketers and Search Engine specialists.
You’re about to witness the first battle between HeadSpace2 and several WordPress Meta Plugins. And personally folks, I know who my money’s on seeing as I had a hand in some of the coaching sessions…
We’re all aware of what UTW and SEO Title Tags can do for your WordPress site so, without further ado, let’s see what the challenger brings to the ring!
Let’s get ready to RUUUUUMMMMMMBBBBBBBLLLLLLLE!

I recently watched Die Hard 4.0. It’s a good movie if you’re into that type of thing. Thankfully I am, so it made the evening a very pleasant one indeed!
The thing is, I didn’t go to the movies to see it.
I watched it completely free from an online video stream… Die Hard 4.0 free movie link? Keep reading!

Knowledge Constructs is back. Or should I say “I’m back”? Better, stronger and more focused than ever. Coming back from Rich Schefren‘s Accelerate seminar has definitely had a positive impact in my state of mind. But it’s not been as easy moving forward as I’d imagined…
You may have noticed the change to the site design. What you won’t have notice is the change in Attitude. Yet. Keep reading…
There’s going to be some big changes round here – so you better get with it or Get Off My Blog!
Let me just say, this post you’re about to read is definitely NSFW (And if you don’t know what that means, GIMF!). No more G or PG rating. It’s time to take off the gloves and pull no punches… A drastic change to our site strategy. Why?

Great Tips For Visiting Delray Beach, Florida.
So I’m out here in Florida for an Internet Marketing event (Rich Schefren’s Acceleration seminar) and I’m a day early. I managed to get a flight and save around £140 just by travelling a day earlier. First top tip: if you want to get a cheap flight, then try using Kayak.co.uk. It’s really cool and they’ve got a 90 day graph showing you the fare trends (if it’s going up or down) and also things like an Ajax real-time filtering so you can refine your search to exactly the times you want to land or take off. Michel Fortin ROCKS! »
Written by Zain on July 1st, 2007{ 3 comments }
I have a confession to make (don’t you just love that opening line?). A couple of months ago, I’d never even heard of Michel Fortin. I couldn’t even pronounce his name as I couldn’t work out if it was “Me-Shell Four-tuhn” (as it appear’s French in orgin) or just plain “Michael Fort’in” (Americanised). I had no idea who he was or what he did until I got an email from my very clued up Internet Marketing friend, Saumil, in India…
Basically, I’d just released this plugin (an update are coming soon, I promise) and I get this email from Saumil saying how this guy Michel Fortin had written a very nice review about FAQ-Tastic.
My initial response was like “Cool! …uh, who’s Michel Fortin?” and his reply was along the lines of “ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?” (okay, so I’m paraphrasing for dramatic effect here!). He went on to explain how Michel’s actually really big in the copywriting niche and has a huge list and usually charges for reviews – so basically I’d already made my money back on the plugin I’d commissioned!
Nice.

Wanted: WordPress Theme Designer. Apply Within. »
Written by Zain on June 20th, 2007{ 29 comments }
Lately I’ve been having a hard time finding an excellent WordPress theme designer. I see some fantastic designs but no-one with any real understanding of design in relation to data architecture (or how to structure the content of a site). I know exactly what I’m looking for (and could probably teach these various aspects myself) but I simply don’t understand why is it so difficult to find excellent WordPress theme designers? Has the buzz of the CSS Zen Garden worn off?
And I *do* love working with excellent people. People who are passionate about what they do. People with drive and determination. People like our WordPress Plugin Developer, John, who’s probably one of the most motivated and determined people I’ve never met. You need only look at the quality of his plugins to understand the bar I’m trying to set in terms of excellence.
But after several weeks of putting my feelers out and getting in touch with some truly excellent old design colleagues and acquaintances, I have to admit I’m feeling a bit defeated. I’m beat. Done… for the moment.
So I’m putting this advert out. There’s good money in it (as quality costs) and potentially some future work as well. If you think you fit the bill or know anyone who you think might be perfect, then please do contact me at exceptionaldesigner[at]knowledgeconstructs.com (if I need to tell you replace the [at], then don’t email me ).
